Birmingham Gated Golf Community
Shoal Creek is nestled in the foothills of the Appalachians in North-Central Alabama. The area was rediscovered in 1977, and continues to be known for its beauty, natural resources and prime location at the base of Double Oak Mountain. The area was first inhabited by early Native Americans that lived and hunted near the banks of the namesake creek that runs the length of the over 1,500 acres. This stunning location offers homes, home sites as well as a new development plan for its next residents. Lot/home packages starting from the upper $800’s.

Shoal Creek is full of possibilities. Much of the hardwood forest here has been left exactly as it has always been. The unspoiled beauty of Shoal Creek is often not what brings people here, but it ends up keeping them here. Walking in the woods and hearing nothing but leaves crunching under your feet will do that. Getting to your favorite fishing spot in two minutes flat will do that, too.
Several small lakes dot the property. All are well-stocked and available to residents, club members and guests for fishing, canoeing, and kayaking.
There are many places to get out and walk, run, hike or bike.

[su_spoiler title="THE CLUB" open="no" style="default" icon="plus" anchor="" class=""]
The late Hall Thompson loved the game of golf. Loved it. Everything about it. With most serious golfers, the intense love of the game stops there. But not for Hall. He wanted to build the best golf course in the region, and maybe the whole country.
If you are stepping onto the tee box of the No. 1 hole just as the sun is beginning to peek around the mountain, you may well be convinced that Hall achieved his goal.
The Club forms the heart of the community. Membership is by invitation. Along with the Jack Nicklaus-designed championship golf course and a nine-hole par-three course (the “Little Links”), the Club offers swimming, club dining and events.
